My Approach

to Therapy

I believe change is possible for anyone who has the desire to participate in their own growth.

I have discovered that building a supportive relationship through therapy creates a safe place to explore life struggles, understand difficult issues, learn new skills, enrich relationships, and work through situations to lead a more authentic life.

I bring a varied theoretical approach based on your needs, centered on forms of therapy including CBT, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused and Client Centered Therapy. Confidentiality and sensitivity to the richness of cultural diversity is always a priority.

Experience

I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a M.A. in Counseling Psychology. Prior to that I received a B.A. in Psychology from Humboldt State University.

I currently work with a local agency providing therapy for adolescent and young adults navigating their transitions through residential treatment centers and therapeutic boarding schools. Last year I worked in Drake Highschool's Wellness Center as a therapist for students. Previously I have worked as an ABA technician for children with Autism as well as a substitute teacher for local K-8 schools. In my free time I am passionate about fishing, exercising and enjoying the Bay Area's beautiful outdoors!
